Are you thinking about buying a home, but not sure where to start, especially in challenging economic times?  In one day of training, you will be empowered with the knowledge of the entire homebuying process from start to finish, learn how to stay on track as a responsible homeowner and where to go for help.  Classes are offered in English and Spanish, in person or online.  Coaching by one of our Homeownership Advisors is included with each of the homebuyer education class options, at no additional charge.


VA (VHDA) Homebuyer Education Class & One-on-One Coaching (FREE)

In Northern Virginia, First Home Alliance offers Free VHDA First-time Homebuyer Classes that can help you get started.  These classes walk you step-by-step through the homebuyiny process.   Classes are offered in English and Spanish, in person or online.  They are free of charge, with no obligation.

MD & DC  “Realizing the American Dream” Homebuyer Education Class & One-on-One Coaching ($79/household)

In Maryland and Washington, DC, First Home Alliance offers 8-hour Homebuyer Workshops, in-person.  The fee for the class is $79 per person or $99 (2) two people signing up together.  Each individual must register in advance and will be provided with lunch and a Certificate of Completion.  You will need to complete the online registration form, and pay the $79 registration fee. Each participant must register in advance in order to receive the Certificate of Completion.

Online Homebuyer Education Class & One-on-One Coaching – Provided by eHomeAmerica ($99/household)

First Home Alliance has partnered with eHome to provide an online education option.  eHome is comprehensive, so you will be introduced to all the facts to navigate every step of the home buying process.  To get started, click here.  eHome meets many lenders’ requirements for homebuyer education, but check with your lender to make sure this online course is acceptable.
